Meet Our Team
Grant works with our environmental clients. He has a first class Honours degree from Victoria University, a PhD from the University of Auckland and 35 years of practical experience with natural resource management throughout New Zealand.
Prior to establishing Aranovus Limited, Grant gained experience working with the New Zealand Wildlife Service, the Department of Scientific & Industrial Research, the Department of Conservation and private conservation organisations. He has worked throughout New Zealand and with international partner organisations in Australia, Canada, the United States and England. His project experience spans statutory resource management, ecological restoration of wetlands, forests and estuaries and threatened species recovery and he uses his science skills to support these projects with sound real world evidence.
The combination of his theoretical knowledge, practical problem solving and extensive project experience provides clients with the capability to address all aspects of natural resource management within their projects. Grant has also been a sustainability role model for the University of Auckland.
Marie McEntee PhD
Marie works with our research clients. She has first class Masters and PhD degrees from the University of Auckland and specialises in science communication and participatory research within the broader discipline of environmental management.
Marie is also a social scientist and academic staff member in the School of Environment at the University of Auckland and has recently completed a large multiple case study research project investigating participatory research in sustainable agriculture. Previously, she worked in the pharmaceutical and health industries where she developed extensive experience effectively communicating complex scientific information to a wide range of audiences.
Marie has particular skills in the field of biosecurity and how this affects multiple stakeholders and communities, and she provides socio-environmental advise to government and local authorities. Her marketing background makes her aware of the need for clear communication for projects to be able to meet their objectives. Marie has also been a sustainability role model for the University of Auckland.
